Asked for the latest release of a public repo. The first URL returned HTTP 301 Moved Permanently to a numeric repository id, so a client that does not follow redirects gets no data. Following it, the second call returned tag, name, and published_at in about a third of a second. Unauthenticated, so the 60 requests per hour limit applies. V example does not mention the redirect.
